ABOUT
As well as being a spouse, parent, grandparent and member of my community I am a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping people, teams and organisations to change, to adapt to ever changing circumstances. I do this as a psychotherapist, a leadership and lifestyle coach, through organisational consulting and conducting training programs.
Learning is a major component of change and I am the co-founder of an approach called Self-Determined Learning or Heutagogy. The principles and practice of Self-Determined Learning are used in schools, higher education and training rooms all around the world.
As an academic I developed a passion for research and writing. The author of around 130 or so publications, I continue to research, supervise research students and publish.
In Simon Sinek’s terms, my ‘Why’ is for people to be the best that they can possibly be so that they can live satisfying lives and also have a positive impact on others and the world at large.
